A note from Mrs. Adams

Hello to all my James A. Long Elementary Lions family.  I can’t begin to tell you how happy it makes me to be back at “home”.  James A. Long is where I went for my 2nd-5th grades of education.  I have so many memories of being a “Lion”.  One of those memories was actually being a part of the group who chose the “lion” as the mascot for the school.  I can still tell you all of my teachers: Ms. Ann Rightmire, Ms. Delores Andrews, Mrs. Ruth Bordeau, and Mr. James Thomas.  What memories I have!  And that, my friends, is what I wish for you. MEMORIES.  I hope that you have many moments to learn and make memories.  The most valuable thing I learned was that I have to believe in myself.  Mr. Thomas was the teacher who told me that many times while I was a 5th grader. That is one piece of my education that eventually lead to many exciting adventures.  So, if you take one piece of advice with you, take these words of Christopher Robin from Winnie the Pooh:

“You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think!”

Have a “roaring” year at JAL.

Your Assistant Principal,
Mrs. Adams
